Skills for Creative Living
After working with a variety of people with a range of disabilities, Jae realised one common interest that every single person could gain positive benefit from - creative living. As a creative person herself, Jae curated a program that teaches and implements aspects of creativity into the lives of any individual, so that they can also enjoy the benefits.
Skills for Creative Living is a broad term that includes a variety of creative endeavours including:
-
Sewing
-
Gardening
-
Painting
-
Drawing
-
Cooking
-
Baking
-
Colouring
-
Crafting
Skills for Creative Living is personalised for each participant, focused on meeting goals and introducing new experiences. Since implementing theses programs, we have seen our clients have reduced anxiety, gain motivation for the day, achieve a sense of pride in themselves for creating something unique and having an outlet to channel and release negative emotions, which is particularly vital for our clients living with ASD, ADHD and difficulties with emotional regulation.
We are so excited to be now offering our Skills for Creative Living programs in a group setting, providing a social element to learning new creative skills.
